He is survived by wife, Patricia Nice Chapline; children, Ruth (Frank), Pam (Roger), Paul, Annette, Claudia, and Phillip; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Jackie (Jerry) and Jeanne (John).
Harold loved the Lord and his fellow men and community. He volunteered at his church in the children's outreach program and the senior care program. He also taught Sunday school classes. Harold was very active in the Kiwanis Club for 20 years and was Kiwanian of the Year in 2013-2014. He served as President as well.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 28th at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. in Wadsworth, with visitation prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Church of their choice.
