Harold L. Cousineau, 90, of Ada, MI, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Harold was born on October 2, 1934 in Escanaba, son of Roy and Myrtle (Morris) Cousineau. He was raised in Hardwood and attended Felch High School graduating in 1953.
He was drafted by the US Army in March of 1955. While serving, Harold achieved the rank of Private First Class and was honorably discharged in February of 1957.
After his discharge, he worked for Harnischfeger. He also drove truck for Niagara Logistics and Ranger Landstar.
Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry work, playing pool and cards, and traveling ~ especially to Mexico. He was proud to say that the only state he hasn't traveled to, while working or for pleasure, was Hawaii.
Among survivors include his children, Rod (Beverly) Cousineau of Kingsford and Renee (Craig Reed) Leffew of Ada, MI; grandchildren, Luke Lippens, Jessica Cousineau, and Mason Leffew; sister, Bernice Patrick; nephew, Mark Patrick; and nieces, Brenda Charlier and Anella Patrick.
Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his son, Todd Cousineau; and sister, Marie Gaber.
Visitation will take place at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 1236 Old U.S. 2 & 41, Bark River, MI 49807, on Monday, June 16th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Christine Bergquist officiating. (All Eastern Time) Burial will immediately follow in Foster City Cemetery.
