Harold Thomas McClanahan, 85, of Wilder, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Harold was a member of First Baptist Church, Ft. Thomas and the former owner of Idle Tyme Ceramics with his late wife, Bev. Harold had many hobbies that he loved to do with his wife, including sewing, canning, baking, teaching, gardening, reading, crafting, ceramics, square dancing, and music. Harold was a U.S. Army Veteran and had been a Guard and a Commercial Driver for the Florida Department of Corrections in addition to working for the Florida Department of Transportation.
Harold was born March 7, 1940 in Pendleton County, KY to the late Herbert McClanahan and Francis (nee: Proffitt) McClanahan. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Beverly Ann (nee: Wessling) McClanahan, Brothers, Earl McClanahan & Gyneth McClanahan.
Harold is survived by his Son, Clark McClanahan, Step Daughter, Kimberly (Ashley) Beagle, Beloved Dog, Gracie, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends & neighbors.
Visitation 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Funeral Ceremony will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, with Rev. Ashley Beagle, officiating. Committal Ceremony with Military Honors, will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Visalia Baptist Church, 12062 Vises Trail Rd., Covington, KY 41015.
