Harriet M. Geren of Chesterfield, NJ, aged 106, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Harriet was preceded in death by Rev. Virgil D. Geren (husband), Larry Geren (son), and Mark Fraser (grandson). She is survived by her daughter Carole Andrews, her daughter-in-law Eliane Geren, as well as her grandchildren: Steve Fraser, Carl Geren, Adam Fraser, Tanya Fraser, Josh Geren, Noelle Geren, and Rev. Luke Fraser. Additionally, she is survived by 15 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, and countless other family members and friends.
Harriet, along with her husband Virgil, founded and operated Shadyrest Bible Conference, which included the church, summer day/overnight kids' camps, and Burlington County Christian Day School. They led the church faithfully for more than seven decades. She was a Godly woman who dedicated her life to helping others through these ministries and leading many to come to know Jesus. Harriet even received the Volunteer of the Year award from nursing homes in the Trenton, NJ area. She will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday January 25, 2025 frpm 10:00 to 11:00AM at the Fellowship CrossPoint Church, 87 Crosswicks Chesterfield Rd, Chesterfield, NJ 08515. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00AM.
Interment will be held at later date at the Crosswicks Cemetery.
