On August 12, 2025, Harry Camron Johnson passed away. Going calmly in his sleep at the age of 83. A graveside burial was held for Harry at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.. A celebration of life will be held at The Salvation Army, 400 North East Capital Ave, on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. Born May 6, 1942, in Arnett, West Virginia, Harry was a Husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1960, the same year he married his wife, Shirley Johnson. Harry was preceded in death by his wife and his daughter, Brenda Dollaway. He is succeeded by his daughters, Louise Adkins and Carolyn Taylor, his son, Sheldon Johnson, five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He worked as a millwright for General Motors for 43 years. Before working as a millwright, Harry worked at the VA hospital and before that, at Woolworth's. He was a racer, contractor, and hunter. Everything he made was by the sweat of his brow. He continued to make accolades by graduating from Madison adult education with an ASE certification in 2015 at the age of 73. For those who knew and loved him, there will be a void that will linger well after his passing. Harry surely will be missed.
