Harry Joseph Leschke

April 28, 1948 ~ February 11, 2021

Harry Joseph Leschke, 72, of Clearfield, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Davis Hospital of natural causes, surrounded by his family.

He was born April 28, 1948 in Philadelphia. PA to Harry Frederick and Adeline Mustaro Leschke.

Harry lived in Runnemede and Cherry Hill, NJ, graduating from Cherry Hills High School prior to entering the United States Air Force in December of 1967. He served in the Air Force for 20 years.

He attended Rutgers University and graduated with his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland. During his USAF career, Harry was stationed in Texas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Utah, Germany, Thailand, twice in Korea and retired from Hill Air Force Base.

He was married to Carol Jeanne Phillips for twelve years and they had three children, Michael, Kimberly and Kurt. They later divorced. On September 1, 1989, Harry married Mary Elizabeth Tyner in Ogden, Utah and they blended their families. With Mary's children, Travis Beaty and Melissa Beaty, it meant five teenagers at once.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Roy, Utah. Where hugs were given freely and often, he and his crazy shirts will be dearly missed.

Harry enjoyed bowling and was in the Utah Hall of Fame. He loved golf, computers and his fur babies.

After military retirement he worked for Citigroup as an IT Specialist for many years, then Boeing, and worked at Lakeside Shores and the HAFB bowling center.

He will be remembered for his stubborn nature, work ethic, love of sports and athletics, a well-developed dry wit, and his unfailing kindness.

Harry is survived by his wife, Mary, Clearfield; children, Travis Beaty, Clearfield; Michael Leschke, Elko, NV; Kimberly Johnson, Ogden; Melissa Beaty, Clearfield; and Kurt (Michelle) Leschke, Layton; eleven grandchildren, Clayton, Ashleigh, Austin, Jake, Essence, Britton, CJ, Averi, Chari, Mason and Ella; and great-grandchildren, Annalicia, Adelyn, Ford and Alexandria.

Private services will be held for the family.
