Harry A. Smith, 75 years old, of Elm, NJ, passed away tragically on the evening of June 9, 2025.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Vera Smith (Polidoro), three loving daughters Yvette Smith Samuel, Christi Cieslak (John), and Suzanne Howard (Greg); Grandchildren Kenwyn, Kara, David, Jake, Harry, Emma, Johnny, Colin, and Jamie; Sisters-in-law Lorraine (Steve) and Paula (Paul); Brothers-in-law Dave, Mario (Mary), Anthony (Stacy); nieces Deborah, Elizabeth, Madison, and Samantha; nephews Michael, Anthony (Lauren), Scott, Dominic, and Joey.
Preceded in death by his brother Ronnie, his sister Carol Anne, and parents Harry and Madeline Smith.
Harry worked as a Master Carpenter in Local #393 for over 30 years, and he also served in the Army Reserves.
Harry's greatest loves were spending time with family, listening to all types of music (loudly), and researching and reading on various subjects. He loved to learn and share his knowledge with others.
A car buff, a space buff, and an all-around Mr. Fix-It, he took pride in preserving the original integrity of all that he worked on, and he taught his children and grandchildren the same values and respect. He enjoyed fishing, eating lots of seafood – preparing and sharing it with everyone – working in his garden, watching the hummingbirds on the front porch, restoring his 1975 Corvette Stingray, and watching the Phillies – but most of all, Harry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday June 19, 2025 from 10:00AM to 11:30AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin NJ 08009. Funeral service to follow at 11:30AM. Interment will take place privately.
