Harvey F. Roffers, 90, De Pere, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was born April 10, 1934 to the late Frank and Cecelia Roffers. He married his lifetime sweetheart, Barbara Basinski, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church on September 13, 1958. Harvey and Barb were blessed with 6 loving and devoted daughters.
At a young age, Harvey started helping out on the family farm until he chose to serve in the US Army. Shortly after returning home from the service, Harvey and his brother, Norman, took over the family farm. While working and raising his family, Harvey also enjoyed playing cards, snowmobiling, playing his accordion, listening and dancing to polka music, and woodworking. He and his family loved spending time at their cottage in Crivitz, where he enjoyed boating, and the great outdoors.
After retiring from the farm, Harvey and Barb moved to their cottage, converting it into their loving home for many years before moving back to De Pere. The Crivitz years were some of their fondest memories. They opened their home for all, to come and spend countless hours of family time on the water and indoors.
Harvey and Barb were lifelong Catholics, and together they instilled Christian values in their children. Through the years, they were further blessed with 6 wonderful son-in-laws. Harvey's infectious smile could light up any room. He had a kind soul and was soft spoken with a great sense of humor and a quick wit. His love for life and his will to fight, was like no other!
Harvey is survived by his daughters; Denise (Jim) Beaudry, Patty (Gary) Nelson, Lynn (Brian) Katers, Jeannine (Brian) Vanden Heuvel, Lisa (Todd) Ambrosius, and Kendra (Todd) Deschane. He is further survived by his grandchildren; Matt (Heather), Phil (Kara), Andrew, Jeff (Katie), Becky, Brad, Cole, Amber (Ben), Ashley (Austin), Jake (Jayme), Josh (Aleks), Emily (Perry), Luke (Tatum), Tyler (Shelby), Megan (Nick), Raef, Sutter, Langden, Easton, Denton, Eric (Kris), Angela (Travis), Eric (Jess), Tim, and Jordan (Shannen); as well as many great-grandchildren. His brother-in-laws; Bob Grosse, and Edwin Basinski, and numerous nieces and nephews.
