It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hayley Carlson, age 31 of Sanford, Florida.
Hayley was the beloved daughter of Christine (Gartland) Carlson of North Easton and William Carlson of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, best friend and sister of Kyrsten Carlson of North Attleboro, adored stepdaughter of Douglas Dufault of North Easton, and stepsister of Elizabeth Dufault of North Attleboro and Alison Dufault of Medford. Hayley also leaves behind her love and longtime partner, Michelle Johnson of Sanford, Florida.
Hayley is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Gartland of Vero Beach, Florida and paternal grandmother Lorraine Carlson of Foxboro, Massachusetts. She will be deeply missed by her cousins, extended family and friends.
Hayley was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts on October 12, 1993 and was raised in Mansfield, Massachusetts. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 2012. She had recently moved to Florida from Saugus, Massachusetts to begin the next chapter in her new home with Michelle, their Pitbull Kona and Siamese cat, Loki, whom she doted on.
Hayley was passionate about her job and had excelled in her position managing a Boston salon, where she was consistently recognized as a regional top sales performer. She had recently started a new job managing an Orlando salon and had already begun to develop new friendships and a loyal clientele.
Hayley will be remembered for her big, beautiful smile and infectious personality. She was always ready to travel or up for any adventure – her bag was overpacked and ready to go at a moment's notice! She loved the ocean and found joy spending time at the beach. She loved dancing and music and was often found with her earbuds in, music blasting, dancing and singing around the house. She was drawn to astrology and was an expert on the subject. Her first question upon meeting someone new was "what's their sign?".
To know Hayley was to love her, and those who truly knew Hayley knew of her love for family and friends, her love of animals, her witty sense of humor, her integrity, compassion and empathy. She was a loyal partner and friend, who always had time to listen, and she made everyone feel special and included. Her absence will be felt by all who knew her.
