Heather M. McNicholl, 65, of Downingtown, passed on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Sean J. McNicholl, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.
From Newton Square, Heather was the daughter of the late Mae E. Helfrich Murdoch and Roderick G. Murdoch. Heather is also survived by her son Rory J. McNicholl, his wife Emily L. McNicholl, daughter Gemma L. McNicholl, sisters Merrie A. Murdoch and Laura M. Fredrickson, and brother Paul A. Murdoch. She is also treasured and remembered by a large extended family and friends.
Heather was an avid traveler who loved seeking out new experiences. An excellent skier, she visited many destinations across the US and Europe. She spent her summers enjoying the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey, and loved walking the scenic trails of Chester County. Heather spent her career in the fashion and design industry and was widely known as a compassionate and effective leader with the most excellent taste. Above all she was a vibrant and kind lover of people who built connection everywhere she went.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will be private with the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Natural Lands or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
