Helen Louise Huver, age 89, of Grand Ledge, passed away April 27, 2025. She was born December 6, 1935, in Lansing, MI, daughter of Francis and Florence (Hastings) Huver. Helen was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School class of 1954. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael Catholic Church, and the Alter Society.
Helen enjoyed oil painting, studying family history, collecting costume jewelry, antiquing, and garage sales. Above all else, family was most important to Helen, as she was the one who always stepped up to care for anyone who was ill or needed a helping hand.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters: Agnes Cranson, Carol Huver, Lyle Huver and Norman Huver; several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Leo and Meritta Huver, brother Thomas Huver, and sister and brother-in-law Marie and Claude Atwell, and brother-in-law Stan Cranson.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 345 Edwards St, Grand Ledge with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment to take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hastings, MI. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Michael Catholic School in loving memory of Helen Huver.
