Helen Jane Klueg

Helen Jane (Fischer) Klueg, 91, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at North River Health Campus in Evansville, Indiana.
Helen was born in Evansville, Indiana on March 5, 1934 to the late Emil and Catherine (Straub) Fischer. She was a lifelong member of Salem Church of Darmstadt where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Women's Guild, served on the Flower Altar Committee for 30 years, and was on the Care Team. Helen was a 4-H Leader in Vanderburgh County for 19 years for the Armstrong Hi-Lighters 4-H Club. Her commitment to 4-H extended to her family, as her children and grandchildren all raised their 4-H pigs and other livestock.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at North River Health Campus for the exceptional care provided to Helen-especially for her nurse Diane, as well as Megan, Michelle, Krista, Karla, Sarah, Jessica, Katelin, Denise, Gina, Ashley and all the dedicated caregivers.
Helen is survived by her children, Randy Klueg (Donna) of Evansville, IN and Rhonda Klueg-Slater (Lee) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Tony Klueg (Ashley), Dr. Aaron Slater (Kedra), Danny Klueg and Alyssa Slater Welte (JT); great grandchildren, Maddie Welte, Mitchell Welte and Maisie Slater; and a sister, Virginia Seybold.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Klueg; her parents, siblings, Raymond Fischer, Gerald Fischer, Elgene Hedges, Mildred Kuester and Valada Hudson.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Salem Church of Darmstadt, 14134 Darmstadt Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor David Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time on Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Church of Darmstadt or the Vanderburgh 4-H Council to support the purchase of swine pens.
