Helen Lambeth

Helen Kinlaw Lambeth, age 63, passed away surrounded by her family on February 22, 2026 at her home in Wendell, NC.

Helen was born on August 7, 1962 in Henderson, NC. She was the daughter of the late Dr. John Carlyle and Helen Hocutt Kinlaw.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Andrew Watson Lambeth; a daughter, Peyton Lambeth Garrison and husband, Dale, of Wendell, NC; a son, Taylor Andrew Lambeth, of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Ella, Evelyn (Evie), Thomas, Henry and Charles (Charlie) Garrison; two brothers, John Caryle Kinlaw, Jr. and wife Wanda, of Shallotte, NC, and Delma Hocutt Kinlaw, DDS and wife Jane, of Wilmington, NC; and one sister, Lydia Kinlaw Foster and husband Dave, of North, VA.

Helen adored children, and spent most of her career in the childcare field. She loved her own children deeply and was a beloved Nana to her five grandchildren. She had a flair for design and could make anything beautiful. Her innate sense of style was unmatched and admired by so many. In addition, Helen loved animals and held a deep appreciation for music. Her sense of humor and smile could brighten even the darkest of rooms. Her loss is tremendous and she will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home of Wendell, NC. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation as a reminder for all those afflicted to fight like hell.
