Ruth Noftsger was born January 16, 1923, in Fairfax, Missouri, to John and Bertha Fisher. She graduated from Daleview High School in 1940. On August 31, 1940, she married Walter Noftsger of Fairfax, Mo. They moved to Tacoma, Washington, in 1940. Their first child was born in 1944 and when Walter went into the Service in 1944, she moved back to live with her parents in Fairfax. Walter returned home from the Army in 1945 and they farmed in the northwest Missouri area until 1956 when they moved to Denver.
Ruth was reborn in the Christian faith in 1953 and was baptized in the Tarkio Baptist Church. She remained active in the church, teaching Sunday school and working with the youth in the Girls Auxiliary and teaching training union classes. She also worked for the Southern Baptist Convention in Denver, CO. She was a member of the Freeman Baptist Church in Berryville, AR at the time of her death.
Besides raising a family of 3 boys and 2 girls, she worked mostly in the retail business. When Walter retired in 1979, they moved back to northwest Missouri. In 1993 they moved to northwest Arkansas. They loved to travel and have been in all 50 states. She loved to play cards and fish and visit casinos. She had a knack for organizing neighborhood family get-togethers and loved having her children's friends at their home and having neighborhood coffees for her lady friends. She had the unique talent of making people feel at home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L.
Noftsger (Bo), in 2016 after 76 years of marriage; son, Walter L. Noftsger, Jr. (Larry) in 2014; as well as her parents, 5 sisters, 2 brothers and 3 grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Sharon Powers and her husband, Jim, of Huntsville, TX Marilyn Mottershaw and her husband, Joe, of Englewood, Co., Greg Noftsger of Berryville, AR and Randy Noftsger and his wife, Glenda, of Lakewood, Co.as well as her Daughter-in-Law, Desiree Noftsger of Littleton, Co. and an adopted daughter, Laurie Anderson of Surprise, AZ. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Grandma and I used to sit on their front porch of their house In Oregon Missouri and make up silly songs about things we saw from the porch. We would then laugh and laugh about the song.
