Helen Schoeb of Spring Lake, MI passed away peacefully on May 19, 2023, at age 96. She was born and raised in Dearborn, one of seven children to Boleslaw and Mary Delezynski. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Louis Schoeb, her son, Michael Schoeb and her daughter, Carolyn Boersma.
She graduated St. Alphonsus High School, raised her children, and worked for Maryknoll. Helen was active her entire life and loved spending time with family and friends, always looking forward to the next family gathering. Her free spirit took her on many adventures as she traveled throughout the US, Canada, England, France, Italy, Cuba, and Australia being her most memorable trip.
Helen will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, Victoria (Thomas) Nystrom, Gerard (Sandra) Schoeb, and Sharon (Mark) Konieczny, and brother Eugene Delezynski. Additionally, she is survived by her eight cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Relatives and friends may join the family for visitation from 10:00-10:45 a.m., prior to the service, at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St, Spring Lake, MI 49456. Interment will take place in St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery in Dearborn Heights, MI. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers (P.O. Box 302, Maryknoll, NY 10545) in Helen's name.
