Helen Louise Sherman

Helen Louise Sherman, 84, of Milford, PA, passed away on November 15, 2025. A graveside service will be held at Beth El Cemetery, 725 Forest Ave. in Paramus on Sunday, November 23rd at 12:00pm.
Born in Brooklyn, the daughter of Myron and Mollie (Berkowitz) Auerbach, Helen was raised in the Bronx and Floral Park Queens. She was a graduate of the Cherry Lawn Boarding School in Darien, CT, and earned her bachelor's degree in education from Hofstra University. In her early years, Helen was an elementary school teacher before getting married to her husband Richard and raising her family. She later became an award-winning dog trainer with the Skyline Agility Club. Helen lived big and loved her family and friends fiercely. She enjoyed skiing, horseback riding, and attending her grandchildren's sports and school events.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Richard Sherman. She was the loving mother of Amy Sherman and Mike Sherman and his wife Sarah. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Hannah Sherman, Amelia Sherman, Elizabeth Sherman and Max Sherman, her faithful companion, Eddie, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her sister Arlene Haddock.
