Helga AnneMarie Rhein, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 91, in Chesterfield, Michigan. Born on Wednesday, July 18, 1934, in Berlin, Germany, Helga lived a life marked by love, resilience, and dedication. Helga was the beloved wife of the late Donald L. Rhein, who preceded her in death on June 15, 2025, after 32 years of devoted marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Anna (Liedtke) Vitting and her brothers Harry and Heinz Vitting. A devoted and loving mother, Helga is survived by her children, Ilona H. (Tim) Rugg, Roswitha (Herbert) Linke Wilson, Kenneth (Tammy) Rhein, Richard (Anna) Rhein, and Steven (Marie) Rhein. Her legacy continues through her cherished ten grandchildren, Jonathan (Amanda), Kendra (Joseph), Noah, Brandon (Megan), Jacob, Rachel, Sara, Brooklyn, Kevin, and Michael, and her nine great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Helga found fulfillment in her career as a dietician, where she dedicated herself to improving the health and well-being of others. Her compassionate nature and expertise touched the lives of many. Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel, located at 35258 23 Mile Rd., New Baltimore, MI, on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service celebrating Helga's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Following the funeral service, a grave side committal service will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ira Township, Michigan. Helga AnneMarie Rhein will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
