Helon Sims Herth

Mrs. Herth Winterrowd of Pensacola passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, and was 73 years old.
Mrs. Winterrowd retired from Ohatchee School District in Ohatchee, Alabama, where she worked as a counselor. She was also a longtime business owner in the Etowah County, Alabama, area. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Orange Beach, Alabama, and Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Pensacola.
Mrs. Winterrowd was preceded in death by her late husband, Gary Joseph Herth; her parents, Helon and Sam Sims; three brothers, Sam P. Sims, James A. Sims, and Joe H. Sims; and a sister, Martha S. Lawrence. She is survived by her loving husband of four years, Robert "Bob" Winterrowd; a brother, David E. Sims, and a sister, Ava Jeanne Batson. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews: Paul Sims(Tracy), Doug Sims(Jan), Linda Lynn Abel(Terry), David Wayne Sims(Pat), David Sims(Marie), Deborah Strickland(Bo), Laura Jackson(Mike), Beth Baker(Phillip), Andrew Sims, Joe Batson, and Louis Batson(Candice).
Her life will be celebrated in a private, family service.
