Henrietta "Hank" Prince Jennings, age 79, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Born on October 12, 1942, to the late Garnette Lucille Owens Counts and Allen Benson Counts. Loving mother of Daniel (Denise) Jennings, Jr. Dear sister of Noel (Brenda) Counts, Jeri Morgan, the late Phyllis Magdziarz, and Shirley Joan Sutherland. Dearest grandmother of Danielle Jennings and Deanna Lyght. Treasured aunt to the late Donita Jo (Bryan) Scott, Richard Morgan Jr., Mary Brown, and Christi Counts. Cherished great aunt to Caris Brinkley.
Henrietta was born in Haysi, Virginia and at age twelve, relocated to Madison Heights, Michigan. After graduating from Lamphere High School in 1961, she briefly moved to southern California, but returned to Michigan where she soon married Daniel Jennings, Sr. In 1967, their son, Daniel Jennings, Jr. was born.
Henrietta was a devoted and loving mother, who enjoyed raising Dan, and supporting him in his various sports including travel hockey, Motocross, and little league baseball.
Henrietta was also a passionate Red Wings Hockey fan following and cheering on the team for decades. Called "Hank" by most who knew her, she could always be found at a Red Wings Hockey game or playing Fantasy Hockey. Her favorite player was Steve Yzerman.
Henrietta had a long, successful career as radio station manager at WLDM and Q95 in Oak Park, Michigan.
Henrietta especially loved celebrating Christmas and would decorate elaborately with hand-strung popcorn and cranberries for the season, cooking wonderful holiday meals, and giving delightful gifts. She also enjoyed traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, visiting her siblings, and taking walks in the park. She was an exceptional singer and loved country music. Additionally, she was very good at board games and a tough contender at the game Scrabble.
Henrietta was well known by her friends as thoughtful, generous, and kind, always willing to listen and encourage others.
Years later, Henrietta chose a quieter life surrounding herself with close friends. She passed away in Royal Oak, Michigan. Henrietta will forever be missed by those who loved her.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Cana Lutheran Church, 2119 Catalpa Dr., Berkley, MI 48072. Family visitation begins at 10:00 am until time of the service.

So sorry to hear of Henrietta's passing. She was a kind and generous person...and fun. Whenever we spent time together, we laughed the whole time.
