Henry Eugene Collins

Henry Eugene Collins, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was born on August 3, 1927, in Flintstone, GA.

On June 8, 1949, Henry married the love of his life, Katherine Hattie Parrish Collins. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. A longtime member of Lookout Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, Henry was also a proud U.S. Navy veteran who honorably served during both World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Henry was the owner and operator of Products Unlimited, where he dedicated many years of hard work. A lifelong learner, he was especially proud to receive his high school diploma on December 21, 2001.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katherine; sisters Margaret Collins, Julia Florence McNabb, and Dorothy Grace Mahan; and brothers Michael Paul Collins, Edward Joseph Collins, William Donald Collins, and Harold Jerome Collins.

Henry is survived by three nieces, two nephews, as well as extended family and many dear friends who will cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, South Crest Chapel, with Pastor Alvin Cummings officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 18, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and again on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Snider, Warren Brown, Carl Chapman, John McCormack, Michael Ingram, Charles Parrish, and Doug Skramstad. Those serving as honorary pallbearers are Larry Lilly, Baxter Little, Paul Shannon, Tommy Gilbert, and Emory Morris.

The Collins family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Heart Lite Hospice, Always Caring, and to Rita Stanfield, Sara Hemmati, Terri Stoker, Tina Henson and all the compassionate nurses for their extraordinary care, as well as the pastors who visited Henry during his final days.
