Henry L.L. Gresens

Henry L.L. Gresens, age 80, passed away July 16, 2022. Born on June 3, 1942 in Matoon, IL to the late Henry and Elfreda Gresens, he was raised on the farm in Toledo, IL. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in engineering. Henry was employed as an engineer at Goodyear Tire from 1965 to 2009. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outside, and most of all, working on Mustangs and other cars. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carol Gresens. He is survived by his children, April (Gregory) Morrison of Smithville and Henry (Heather) Gresens of Akron; grandchildren, Chris Morrison, Dakota Morrison, Maggie Morrison, Cassie Arrundale, Dustin Gresens, Sarah Gresens; great-granddaughter, Kimberly Zuber; and brother, Rick (Roz) Gresens of Toledo, IL. The family would like to thank the caretakers at Danbury Senior Living Wooster and Smithville Western Care Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org). Friends and family will be received Wednesday, July 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), OH 44312. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 21st at 11 a.m. with an hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
