Henry Hinchman

Henry Hinchman, age 94, passed away on February 19, 2024. He was the caring and devoted husband of the late Frances for 59 years. The loving father to Susan (Bob) Wulf, Martin, and Kriss (Lisa). The cherished grandpa of Katie, Becca, Will, Nicole, Kristin, and Aaron. He was the dear Opa to Juliet. Henry also leaves behind his beloved cat Leo. He was preceded in death by his sister Lillian Sobolewski.
Henry was a dedicated member of St. Peter Lutheran Church for many decades, where he served as an usher. Henry worked for Chrysler Motor Company as a tool and die maker and retired in 1988 after 37 years of dedicated service. He was a skilled bowler, achieving a high score of 290, and bowled on many leagues throughout his bowling career. He was a talented handyman who could fix anything, or would try too. Henry was also a member of the United German American Recreation Society (UGARS) at Cass Lake, where he spent many summers with his family, enjoying barbecues where he would roast the most delicious pork and chicken on a spit. Henry's kindness, generosity, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
Visitation for Henry will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 17051 24 Mile Road in Macomb. Friends may visit the church on Monday beginning at 10:00 am.
