Henry Carroll Knight

Henry Carroll Knight, age 69, of Laurens, and husband of Mitzi Plaia Knight, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Born in Laurens and raised in Greenwood, Henry was a son of Lanell Smallwood Brown of Laurens and the late William Henry Knight. Henry was a proud veteran, having served his country with honor in the Army. After his military service, he embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver. Upon retirement, Henry continued to be a protector and provider for his family, always putting their needs above his own. A man of many talents, Henry was an artist at heart. He found joy in working with metal. Henry was a pillar of strength for his family, a role he cherished deeply. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a caring brother, always ready to lend a helping hand.
In addition to his wife, Mitzi, Henry is survived his son, Jamey Knight (Tia); grandchildren, Caitlin Burch (Gareth), Jonah Knight and Jaycee Knight; two great grandchildren; stepchildren, Bobby Heartfield (Dana), Kevin Heartfield, Jr., and Catherine Hunter; five step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; siblings, Vickie Knight Rogers (Don Long), Warren Scott Knight and Jeff Brown; first cousin who was like a brother, Steve Wilkie; and best friend, Dale Baumberger.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his son, Hunter Knight and brother, Rodney Knight.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. Darren Rood with military honors.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
