Henry Clay LeCompte, Sr.

Henry Clay LeCompte, Sr. entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2025. He is survived by his niece Bonnie Collins (Timmy); sister Sheila Vedros; grandchildren Hayley LeCompte and Kyla LeCompte; Godchild Justine LeCompte Perdomo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Dinah P. LeCompte; son Henry C. LeCompte Jr.; grandson Henry C. LeCompte III; parents Wiley and Marie F. LeCompte; siblings Wiley “Jr.” LeCompte, Ray LeCompte, Ronald LeCompte, Daniel LeCompte, Helen Frazella, Elsie L. Pitre, Lana L. Rodriguez; and his many fur babies. Henry was a native of Waggaman, LA. He was a tugboat captain for over 50 years. He devoted his life to working and to his fur babies. The family would like to thank his cousin Maxine Daigle for her help with Uncle Henry. Special thanks also to Haydel Memorial Hospice, Trustwell Living Terrebonne Place, and the many aids who took great care of him.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time.
