Herbert Michael "Mike" Rauch, 68, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2025.

Born on September 10, 1956, in Akron, Mike was the beloved son of the late Herbert A. and Freda I. (Carver) Rauch. A lifelong resident of the Akron area, he graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1975.

Throughout his life, Mike held various jobs, including employment at Acme Grocery Store. He most recently worked at Ricoh, from which he retired in 2024. He was known for his quiet dedication and strong work ethic. Mike was an outdoorsy person, loved nature. He loved spending time at the gorge and going to Cooks Forrest and loved animals especially his cat Honeydew.

Mike proudly served in the Army National Guard for 15 years, a testament to his sense of duty and service to his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Debra "Debbie" (David) Wise (Rauch), and his brothers, Gregory A. Rauch and Jeffrey E. Rauch, nieces; Tricia McIntyre, Laura Thomas, and Cheyenne Thomas, nephew; Kris Wise with many great nieces and nephews. Mike was also a cherished uncle and cousin to many. Mike also was supported by his close friends for many years; Carol Miksch (cousin) and Charolette (Charlie) Musser.

Mike will be remembered for his kind and humble nature.

A visitation will be held at Hummel Funeral Home, located in Downtown Akron at 500 E. Exchange St., Akron, OH 44304, on Thursday, July 10th, at 5-7, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7pm.
