Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, March 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere, for Hilda E. (Coleman) Speranza, of Billerica, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica. She was 95 years old. Her Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born on February 6, 1930, Hilda was the daughter of the late John J. and Hilda E. (Nelson) Coleman. She and her husband lived in Everett for a few years before settling in Chelsea, where they raised their family. A devoted wife and mother, Hilda dedicated her life to caring for those she loved.
She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Speranza, Sr., with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2005. Hilda was the devoted mother of John J. Speranza of Medford, the late Claire A. Morley, the late Karen M. Donovan, and the late Albert J. Speranza, Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to Bobby Donovan, Carrie Donovan, Denise Morley, James Morley, and Santina Maria Smith. Hilda was also a dear sister to Charles Coleman, Alvera Kalinski, and the late John Coleman, Warren Coleman, and Mary Haggerty. She is also lovingly survived by six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
