Holly Ray Obituary
She was born in Fayette Co., Kentucky on Monday, February 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Lewis and Marjorie Scott Broadus. Holly grew up helping in her family owned Colonel Drive-In, which was the first in Richmond to serve Kentucky Fried Chicken. She was a former employee of Madison County Schools where she served as a Special Needs Aide in the Transportation Dept. Holly loved camping, especially at Buckhorn Lake, celebrating Christmas and crafting. She loved the Lord, was baptized at Salem Christian Church and was presently serving at Corinth Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Billy Ray; children, Kelley Hawn Hammons (Chad), Kendall Hawn (Sherrie), Billy Ray (Jennifer) and Jimmy Ray (Stacey); grandchildren, Cortney Hembree, Chaese Hammons, Wyatt Hawn, Coye Hammons, Levi Ray, Molly Ray, Bradley Baker, Gracie Ray, Luke Ray, Kylie Ray and Ryan Ray; great-grandchildren, Hayden Hembree, Miriam Sauvageot, Hannah Hembree, and another one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Broadus.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. David Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ray, Jimmy Ray, Chaese Hammons, Wyatt Hawn and Wade Evans.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Curraleen Kelley, Sarah Farthing, Beverly Land, Sue Burns, Linda Kelley, Ed & Marilyn Bowen, Mike & Lois Reynolds, Brenda Evans and Russell Lane.
