HIGH POINT – Hugh Floyd Lewis, Jr., 68, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

He was born March 9, 1957, in High Point and was the son of the late Hugh Floyd Lewis, Sr. and Esther Rae Lewis. He was a graduate of Ragsdale High School Class of 1976 and was a retired owner and operator of Reliable Dry Cleaners. Hugh enjoyed working on and repairing dry cleaning equipment and was always busy tinkering with something. He enjoyed cookouts and grilling for family gatherings. Other times, he could be found watching old Western movies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Lewis.

Hugh is survived by his wife, Donna Ann Lewis; daughter, Holli Ultreras (Joshua); two sons, Daniel Lewis (Lindsay Belanger, fiancée) and Josh Lewis, all of High Point; two step-daughters, Danielle Lachman of High Point and Erica Kennedy (Scott) of Charlotte; seven grandchildren, Kelly Hocreiter, Emma Lewis, Tristan Lewis; Josiah Ultreras, Addison Donahue, Kate Kennedy and Jack Kennedy.

Funeral service celebrating Hugh's life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2025, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 PM on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.
