Ian was a veteran of the US Army, serving two tours in Iraq. He worked as a facility administrator of DaVita Dialysis. Ian was an Auburn Football fan and enjoyed being out on the water, but he especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was preceded by his paternal grandparents, Russ and Nancy Dodge.
Ian is survived by his wife, Kelly Thomas; children, Braxton Thomas Dodge, Greyson Rivers Dodge, and Charlee Elizabeth Dodge; father, Kevin Lee Dodge; mother and stepfather, Vivan and Danny Hugh Polk; sisters, Maggi Polk, Danielle Hale (Seth), and Kassie Dollar (Adam); maternal grandparents, Wayne and Faye Holmes; parents-in-law, Billy and Janet Thomas; and nieces and nephews, Flether Hale, Grafton and Leighton Dollar, and Brodie, Ramzie, and Kovie Thomas.
