Ida Irene Clark, 87, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on February 3, 1938, in Hitchita, Oklahoma, to Hugh Oren and Rebecca Anna (Brandon) Anglin.
Irene graduated from high school in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. On November 17, 1956, she married Robert G Clark, the love of her life. Together they shared over 54 years of marriage until Robert's passing in 2010.
Throughout her life, Irene found joy in many areas. She spent several years working for Corning Glass but always cherished the role of homemaker most. Her home was a place filled with warmth and laughter-often echoing with music and the shuffle of cards during family gatherings. Dancing and playing cards were favorite pastimes that brought her closer to those she loved.
Among her greatest joys were her grandchildren. A proud grandmother, Irene lit up when speaking about them and treasured every moment spent in their company. When asked what brought her the most happiness in life, she would always answer without hesitation: her grandbabies. Irene will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert G Clark; son, Robert "Robby" Darrell Clark; and brother, Hugh O Anglin.
Irene is survived by her daughters, Patty Ann McCall of Panama City Beach, Florida and Kelli Lynn Jones of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jason K Smith of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Amanda L Soileau of Panama City Beach, Florida, Summer D Kinne of San Marcus, Texas, Ryan Duane Jones, Allison Paige Jones, Kayla Ann Jones, and Jennifer Irene Martin; six great grandchildren, Izick, Harbor, Emerie, Lincoln, Cooper, and Swayze; sisters, Jeanetta Cole of Claremore, Oklahoma and Jean Lampkins of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
A celebration of Irene's life will be held 2PM, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Muskogee.
The family of Ida Irene Clark has entrusted her care, service and burial to Cliff and Carmen Garrett and staff of Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Muskogee.
