Inez Lewis entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the age of 83. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Inez was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a retired police officer with Westwego Police Department and Gretna Courthouse. Devoted wife of the late Arthur Lewis. Beloved mother of Joanette Burras (Brian) Rickson, Demetrial Burras (Harold) Jones, and Edward (Lorina) Burras, Jr. Loving grandmother of Rickey White, Richard White, Quinette White Conner, Johiqual Burras-Howard, Johnez Burras, and Edward Burras, III. Great grandmother of Caleb White, Kadin Baker, Sometrial White, Zarielle Conner, Akilah Conner, Zakee Conner, Jr., Jaylah Burras, Jayion Howard, Jacobly Burras, Journee Tate, Elijah Tate, and Kayore White. Daughter of the late Arthur Roy Tribbit, Jr. and Matilda Carter Tribbit. Granddaughter of the late Willie Carter, Sr., Mary James Carter, Arthur Roy Tribbit, Sr. and Mary Jones. Sister of Beverly Joyce Williams, Melvin Tribbit, Deborah Tribbit, and the late Arthur Roy Tribbit, Jr. and Nathan Tribbit. Daughter in law of the late Rose Lewis. Sister in law of the late James Lewis, Earl Lewis, Katie Lewis, and True Love Lewis, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church #3, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church #3 441 Wilson St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman D.
