Irene Crouse, age 76, went home to heaven on September 28th, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born July 19, 1948 in Willard, Ohio.
Irene is proceeded in death by her parents Elic and Roxie (Shepherd) Wright, husband Gerry Crouse, whom she married in June of 1966, 9 brothers: Melvin, Malcom, Mitchel, Milford, Orville, James, George, Henry and Wilbur, 1 sister Maxine Reed, and daughter-in-law Leslie Crouse.
She is survived by her children Rob (Rachel) Crouse and Kimberly (Nunzio/Newt) Daiello, grandchildren; Taylor Daiello, Miah (Edward Haynes) Daiello, Victoria (Greg Walters) Daiello, Hudson and Gunner Crouse, Kennedy Deppen, Macy Deppen and Owen Deppen, Jon Winans, Ty Winans and Adam Winans; and six great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Irene was well known for creative and beautiful landscapes and flowers. She often stated that helping others was her greatest joy. She loved animals and found homes for many orphaned kittens, cats, dogs and puppies.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven Ohio at 3:00pm with Reverend Ricky Branham officiating.
A very special thank you goes out to Charity Johns, a friend of the family and Southern Hospice Care, as their help allowed us to keep mom in the comfort of her home during her illness and we are so very grateful for that.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wyandot County Humane Society (Hope Animal Clinic) 9640 Co. Hwy 330, Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351. This organization provides a low cost spay and neuter program to help eliminate animal suffering from overpopulation. This was one of Irene's favorite charities.
