Irene Phillips Obituary
Irene Phillips, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Irene never met a stranger, she was always hugging and kissing on someone everywhere she went. She loved flowers of all kinds and her many animals, especially her dog, Chocolate. Irene loved her husband, Lorenzo more than anything. They were married for 64 ½ years. Lorenzo proposed the moment he met Irene and that was that.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Phillips, he only passed 11 months before her.
She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret, Beulah, Red, Fate, Dick and Cotton and her sons, Ray and Dickey.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cranmore-Vickery (Michael), grandchildren, Kristin Cranmore and Thomas Cranmore (Gary), great granddaughter, Makaila Womack Cranmore, daughter, Margaret "Maggie" Casler, grandchildren, Ashley Birch (Brian), Matthew "Matt" Green (Melissa) and Corey Casler, great grandchildren, Emma Green, Owen Green and Aubrey Luellen, grandchildren, William "Will" Phillips (Misty), Kayla Phillips and Hunter Phillips, great grandchildren, Paisley and Hunter and Jordun and Jakub. Irene is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:00 till 12:30 on Friday, November 14, 2025 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025. Irene will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lorenzo.
