Irene P. Rosenthal (Deniziak), 90, formerly of Erie, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born in Erie on September 7, 1935, daughter of the late John Deniziak and Catherine Kilgoski Deniziak.
She was a graduate of East High School.
In earlier years, Irene was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and participated in church groups. She also enjoyed gardening and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Joe" Rosenthal; three sisters, Helen Majewski, Cecilia Deniziak, and Dorothy Ropiecki; and three brothers, John, Raymond, and Richard Deniziak.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy McCardle (Matt) of Pittsburgh and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday, November 7th, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and are invited to a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Saturday at 10 AM. Burial will be private in Erie Cemetery.
