Irene Anne Vitarelli, age 68, a resident of Boothwyn, PA, passed away on April 12, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Irene was born in Twin Oaks, PA, and was a graduate of Chichester High School. She worked for Elwyn, Inc., for 25 years before moving to a job in childcare.
Irene had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time in her garden. She took great pride in caring for her plants both indoor and out. She loved to knit, antique shop and taking day trips to Lancaster. Irene's most beloved time was the time she spent with her family. Whether it was spending weekends with her sisters or the cherished time she spent with her grandchildren.
She was daughter of the late Thomas and Doris Farren (MacDonald). In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Litwa, and brother, George Farren.
Survivors: her husband, Peter; daughter, Allyson Wood (Dave); grandchildren, Tyler, Morgan and Lindsay Wood; brother, John Farren and sister, Tammy Farren; sister-in-law Pat Vitarelli-Joseph (Bob); as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Per Irene's wishes her services will be held privately.

I worked with Irene and Pete at Elwyn for many years. I know how devoted they were to one another, and to their daughter and grandchildren. I am so sorry for Irene's passing. I hope Pete and Allyson find comfort in their memories of Irene.
