Irineo Gonzalez, 94, of Lake Village, AR, passed away on October13, 2023. He was born on July 3, 1929, to his parents, Gavino Gonzalez and Sesaria Palmerin. Irineo was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, and spending time with his family, and woodworking.
Irineo is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Valentina Vallejo, of over 60 years; one daughter, Maria Vargas; two brothers, Nolverto and Silviano Gonzalez; three sisters, Guadalupe, Senaida, and Esperanza Gonzalez.
He is survived by his five sons, Ezequiel Gonzalez (Ericka) of Lake Village, AR, Eriberto Gonzalez (Janeth) of Lake Village, AR, Gabriel Gonzalez of Tijuana, Mexico, Alejandro Gonzalez (Monica Mondragon) of Lake Village, AR, and Antonio Gonzalez of Tijuana, Mexico; one daughter, Yesenia Mondragon (Alvaro) of Portland, AR; his grandchildren, Alan, Annabel, Jessie, Vanessa, Janny, Brandon, Skylina, Diego, Gisselle,Ivan, Sebastian, Nayeli, Clara, Inez, Lionor, Reyna, and Emilia; and one great-grandchild, Emilia.
Pallbearers will be Alan Vargas, Diego Gonzalez, Jessie Vargas, Janny Mondragon, Brandon Mondragon and Reynaldo Martinez.
