Isaac D. Whitley, 80, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, August 15, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in FITZGERALD, with the Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in OCILLA. ***Please note the funeral is in Fitzgerald and the visitation is in Ocilla.***
Mr. Whitley was born November 18, 1944, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Elie & Lavada Ring Whitley. He was a lifelong farmer having worked in sales for Paulk Manufacturing, United Farm Tools, and Wilco Farm Equipment, drove trucks for Benny Whitehead and for DaLan Trucking, and farmed with Sayer Farms. His hobby was working and he enjoyed plowing fields and digging peanuts. He will be greatly missed by his canine companion, Max.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fay Harris Whitley of Ocilla; children: Bobby Whitley of Columbia, Alabama, Keith McLaughlin & Tonya of Fitzgerald; Kim Rodgers & Billy of Fitzgerald, and Kristy Staton & Neal of Cleveland, Tennessee; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren including: Brittany Sumner & Justin and their son Briggs, Addi Staton, and Drake Rains & Cindy and their daughter, Lilliana; and two brothers: Elie Carroll Whitley & Nina of Fitzgerald and Kaylon Whitley of Ocilla. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Hutchinson; brother, Michael Whitley; and a sister-in-law, Blondean Whitley.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald & Ocilla, is in charge of arrangements.
