Joseph Morris Law, 91, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. He was born on October 10, 1932, in Warren, Utah, the son of George Cleven and Annie Catherine Hansen Law.
He served the country in the Navy on Valley Forge during the Korean War.
After being discharged from the Navy, Morris married Beverly Bingham on April 10, 1954, in Plain City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on December 17, 1962.
Morris was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully as a High Priest Group Leader, a Stake Missionary, teacher, Ward Clerk, a temple worker for 10 years, and held many other church callings.
He worked for Union Pacific railroad and Amtrak, where he retired after 45 years.
Morris enjoyed four-wheel driving in Southern Utah, and fishing and boating with his brothers-in-law. On the side he would repair watches, loved square-dancing with his wife, and loved playing guitars, and was part of a family band.
Morris is survived by his wife, Beverly B. Law of Sunset, UT; children, Michael M. Law of Rock Springs, WY, Dianna Elliott of Sunset, UT, and Sandra (Dave) Stone of West Haven, UT; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, RaNae Thompson of Ogden, Lois McLighton of Brigham City, UT, and Sharon Stewart of North Ogden, UT. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Wilson; granddaughter, Shannon Elliott Comer; and brothers, Raymond Law and George Law.
The family would like to thank Intermountain Hospice and their team for all their loving care.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Plain City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
