Jack Martin Grier

Funeral services for Jack Grier, 95, of Chandler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, with Mike Coyne officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Grier passed away on March 14, 2026, in Longview, Texas.

Jack Martin Grier was born on January 6, 1931, in Chandler, Texas, to Harvey Tilton Grier and Audie Ona (Murphree) Grier. He was a faithful member of South Main Church of Christ and dedicated more than 36 years of service to Trane Air Conditioning. Jack enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Airstream Trailer Club. One of Jack's greatest joys was baking cakes and pies and sharing his homemade treats with the many friends he visited. His kindness, generosity, and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Bobbie Jo Grier; his brothers, Mordan T. "Mutt" Grier, Harvey T. "Jr." Grier, and Harold Grier; and his son, Jackie Thomas Grier.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Penny (Grier) Strong and her husband James; his grandchildren, Joshua Spivey, Jenny Belflower, Jacob Spivey and wife Bailee, Amanda Shiyou and husband Brandon, and James Strong, Jr.; and his great-grandchildren, Hunter Spivey, Brandon Strong, Teegan Belflower, Cambry Spivey, Cheslee Spivey, Bryson Strong, Taylor Belflower, Blake Strong, Ruby Strong, Cash Spivey, and Renlee Spivey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Spivey, Joshua Spivey, Hunter Spivey, Tim Grier, Brandon Strong, and Brandon Shiyou.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
