Allen-Hall MortuaryJack Cody Hampton Jr. (Buck) passed away on August 6, 2025 at his home in Logan surrounded by his loved ones. Buck was born July 8, 1950 in Sheridan, WY to Jack Cody Hampton and Louise Josephine Greibel. Buck’s dad was career Army so the family moved to Worland, WY Fort Lewis, WA Bad Nauheim Germany, Freidburg Germany, Hanau Germany, Logan UT and finally settling in Smithfield, UT.
He married Karen Hatch on November 19, 1971 and they were later married and sealed to their children in the Logan LDS Temple. Buck and Karen have 2 children, Kallee (Jason) Hamblin and Mike (Laura) Hampton. 4 grandchildren, James (Brynn) Hampton, Grace Hampton, Sadie Hamblin and Cooper Hamblin. Jack retired in 2011 after 37 years of service from Logan City Water Dept. / Light and Power Dept.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Michael David, sister Susan Douglass, brother in law Scott Douglass and niece Heather Downs. He is survived by his wife, and children and their spouses, grandchildren, sister Cheryl (Chad) Downs and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 6-8 PM at Allen Hall Mortuary 34 East Center St, Logan, UT
Funeral services will be held at the LDS church 325 N Lauralin Drive Logan UT at 11:00 AM with a viewing prior from 9:30-10:30AM
Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. Memories and condolences may be shared and expressed at www.allenmortuaries.com
