Jack Sonnicksen Obituary Jack Sonnicksen
With deep sadness we announce the passing of Jack, age 88, on April 26, 2025. Born in Winnebago, MN on April 9, 1937, he is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Annie Ankeny and brother Maurice. Survived by wife of 22 years, Barbara Klein, children Doug, Deb (Bruce) Mckay, Randy (Paula) and Brad; Barbaras children: Paul (Julie), Dean (Theresa), Terry (Tom) Pellegrino, Mark, and Connie (Steve) DeVolder and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In his youth, he excelled in athletics and continued his love of sports to the last day, especially basketball, as he was a season ticket-holder for both the Golden Gophers and the Timberwolves for many years.
Being a true "Jack" of all trades, he succeeded at everything he put his hand to. Professionally, he spent most of his career as an HVAC service manager. In daily life, he was gifted with an ability to solve and fix just about anything. Jack expressed his love for family and friends through acts of service, employing his many skills and talents to help others. On the lighter side of his personality was a unique sense of humor displayed by original practical jokes.
