Jack Noel Willett

Jack Noel Willett, 92, clergyman, artist, and poet, of Georgetown, Kentucky, passed away on October 31, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Earl Willett and Minnie Mitchel Willett, as well as his sister, Peggy, and brother, Gene. He is survived by his daughter, Noelle Dominique Willett of Virginia, and his nephew, Sidney Willett of Oklahoma. Jack earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown College, a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a master's degree in Communications from the University of Maryland. He was licensed to ministry at age 19 by Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, and ordained at 23 by First Baptist Church in Clay, Kentucky. Throughout his career, he served as pastor to congregations in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C. He founded and served as chaplain of the Advent House on Capitol Hill, a ministry to college interns, for 15 years. His final two decades of ministry were devoted to his home church, Faith Baptist Church in Georgetown, and to Beaver Baptist Church in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
