It is with both sorrow and celebration of a life well-lived that we share the passing of Jack Paul Zupan, known affectionately by many as "Jake". Born on November 24, 1941 in
Murray, UT, Jack lived life with an infectious laugh, a cheeky grin, and an aura of generosity that touched everyone around him. He was a loving father, a funny uncle, a compassionate brother, and a generous friend.
Jack was a dedicated custodian at the local school for many years until his retirement in 2017. His commitment to his work was only paralleled by his love for his hobbies. He had a soft spot for the simplicity of fishing, the creativity of gardening, the thrill of hot rods, loved bingo, and the depth of American History and National Geographic. Jack's compassionate heart extended beyond his human family and included a deep love for his animals, who were a cherished part of his life. He was described by those who knew him as the most heartfelt and genuine person who loved life.
Jack is survived by his son, Chris Zupan (Emily), his sister Sharon Lancaster (Gary), his sister-in-law Sharon (Tripper) Zupan, and his beloved grandchildren, Lilly and Oliver Zupan. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Zupan, his mother Lucille Zupan, and his brother Jim Zupan.
While Jack's physical presence may have left us, his spirit and the impact he made on each of our lives will remain forever.
We encourage friends and family to share memories, stories, and photos of Jack on his memorial page. Let us remember this loving, funny, compassionate, and generous soul together.
