Jackie R Harrison

Jackie R. Harrison, a beloved resident of Hatteras, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on November 15, 2025, at the age of 94. Jackie was born on September 7, 1931, to Saint Elmo and Virginia Harrison, in Halifax, North Carolina.
Jackie was the beloved owner and operator of The Channel Bass Restaurant in Hatteras Village, where he worked alongside his wife and daughters for forty years. His dedication to his restaurant provided employment to many in the village, creating a lasting impact on the community he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Saint Elmo and Virginia Harrison; his loving wife, Shelby Medlin Harrison; and his son, Ronnie Harrison.
Jackie is survived by his daughters, Debbie Harrison and her partner Terry Brown, and Brenda Harrison. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A private committal service will be held at Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens with family on Sunday, November 23, 2025. A celebration of Jackie's life will be announced at a later date.
