Jackie (Jack) Donald Ruppe, 80 passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. He was born September 5, 1944, a son of the late James Ruebush Ruppe and Lois Jerene (Scruggs) Ruppe.
At the time of his passing, Jack resided in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he spent his later years surrounded by family and friends. Jack's journey began in Gaffney, South Carolina, but his passion for learning took him to Clemson University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1967. A proud alumnus, he remained a devoted fan of the Clemson Tigers throughout his life. In addition to his love for college sports, Jack was an enthusiastic supporter of the Washington Nationals, often sharing witty commentary on games that showcased his sharp sense of humor.
Jack is survived by his children from his first marriage, a son, David Ruppe and his wife Amy; two grandchildren, Charlie and Natalie; a daughter, Diana Ruppe. From his second marriage with Gail Ruppe, who predeceased him in 2019, he is survived by a son, Timothy Ruppe. Jack also leaves behind three sisters, Jennie Richardson, Becki Michael Siau, and Joan Tomczuk (Kenneth).
Though Jack wished for no formal funeral service, his family and friends will honor his memory in their own way.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and hospice for their care and kind support.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks the memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, P.O. Box 1950 Clarksburg, MD. 20871.
In the spirit of his favorite saying, "Birds of a feather flock together." His presence will be deeply missed.
