Jackie Ruth Swenson, 82, passed away peacefully at Monument Health Care Center October 25, 2025.
She was born August 04, 1943 in Logan, Cache County, Utah, to Theo LaVoir Swenson and Lois George Swenson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Theo LaVoir & Lois Swenson of Bountiful, Utah and sister- in- law Barbara Graham (Swenson) Gary's wife. She is survived by Brother Gary LaVoir Swenson, Barbara (Val) Wilson, North Salt Lake, Utah. One niece and four nephews and their families.
Jackie was the oldest of three children and a lifelong resident of Bountiful. She attended Elementary, Jr. High, and then graduated from Bountiful High.
She was a fun loving person.
When eight years old she was stricken with Polio in her right leg . She endeared many operations and life changes. Jackie hated braces on her leg and foot, she chose to just be herself and go without them. She loved family always ready for going somewhere.
Jackie traveled to California and sunny Cancun. Trips with mom and dad. Jackie was always up for card games and family fun. She never had the opportunity to marry or have a family. She loved music Liberace and Engelbert Humperdinck were her favorites.
She liked sitting in the sunshine with her Dr. Pepper. reading Biography's of different people. She love our Savior and always ready to listen and watch conference, the spoken word and Choir and church movies.
Jackie embraced life and loved it.
A viewing will be held Monday November 3, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Fox Hill Ward located at 200 South Eagle Ridge Drive, North Salt Lake City, Utah from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
There will be a private family Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m.
Following the Celebration of Life will be the burial at Bountiful City Cemetery, located at 2224 South 200 West Bountiful, Utah, next to her parents.
