Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sosebee Funeral Home on Jun. 12, 2025.
Jackson Cole Croft was adventurous, goofy, determined, and respectful to all who loved him. He was born on October 20, 2007, in Marietta, Georgia after a very long labor and delivery. He was stubborn from day one! It is with heavy hearts we announce his passing on June 6, 2025, while doing what he loved most – catching fish out on the lake.
A senior at Woodstock High School, Jackson was eagerly anticipating graduation. He was never a fan of school but had so many dreams and aspirations. He worked as an HVAC Technician at Croft Heating and Air for many summers and did work exit during his junior year. He was the next generation of the family business.
Jackson had many different interests and was determined to try them all. Despite always saying his life was boring, he pursued so many hobbies. As a child, he played baseball, basketball, and football. As he grew older, he began racing, rodeos, fishing, hunting, bowling, and golf. He enjoyed playing all kinds of games like chess, corn hole, monopoly, escape rooms, etc. He even played viola in the middle school orchestra. But above all, the outdoors and specifically the lake was Jackson's sanctuary.
Jackson was a dreamer. His aspirations soared as high as his fearlessness, which was matched only by his persuasive nature and quiet confidence. Every pursuit, from the simplest to the most daring, was approached with a competitive spirit - but never at the expense of camaraderie and friendship. Jackson treasured his family and friends and devoted himself fully to the time they shared. Not one to shy away from challenges, he inspired those around him with his fearless approach to life. Though his absence is felt deeply, his legacy endures, reminding us to embrace life's adventures with the same courage and passion that he embodied so naturally.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Andrew "Pop" Croft; uncle, Mason Beasley; aunts, Amy Beasley and Cathy Garner; and cousin, Mason Bell.
Jackson is survived by his parents, Jason and Tina Croft; sister, Madison Croft; grandparents, Ethel Croft, Benny Croft (Jeanette) and Debra Beasley; aunts and uncles, Aimee Deese (Justin), Ashlee Croft, Maurice Garner, Andy Croft, Jeff Croft, Dennis Beasley (Amanda), Dylan Beasley and Mitchell Beasley; as well as many beloved cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Sunday, June 15th from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Monday, June 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and prior to the service on Tuesday, June 17th at His Hands Church from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
