Jacob Louis King, 27, of Carmel passed away June 29, 2022. He was born October 6, 1994, the beloved son of heartbroken parents Jay E. and Cynthia L. (Phillips) King.
Jacob was a kind, generous and fun-loving guy who enjoyed making people laugh. "Happy Baby", as he was known to those closest to him, knew no stranger as he enjoyed sharing the little moments with everyone; from family and friends he had known for years to those he had just met. Uncle Jacob, and his immense heart, loved spending time with his family, especially his adoring niece and nephews.
A graduate of Guerin Catholic High School where he was a four year member of the golf team, Jacob went on to attend Indiana University in Bloomington. He was his happiest when he was playing golf at Woodland Country Club with his family and friends. Jacob was an avid sports fan, rooting on his Hoosiers, Pacers and Colts, with his brother at his side. Although taken too soon, Jacob is now at peace. He will be forever missed.
He is survived by his parents, Jay and Cyndi King; sister, Kasey (Dustin) Illyes; brother, Mark King; niece and nephews, James, Vivian, and Charlie; fiancé, Ellen Hutcheson; aunts and uncles, Pam (J.D.) Craig, Carl (Janet) King, Bev King and many cousins. He was preceded in passing by his maternal grandparents, Von and Constance (Vitti) Phillips; paternal grandparents, Homer and Maxine (Lane) King; aunt Toni Phillips and uncle Dennis King.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Private Service and entombment will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road.
