Jacob R. Kubacki, 34, of Baldwinsville, passed away from a brief illness, surrounded by his family, June 8, 2025. Jacob was born in Syracuse, NY on October 30, 1990 to Raymond and Suzanne (Reck) Kubacki.
A God-sent child, as healthy as could be, smart, and wise beyond his years, loved beyond measure. From a very early age, he loved tromping through the woods, and trout fishing with his father, brother and family friend, Doug. He loved deer hunting at his grandfather’s property in Canandaigua, NY, fishing and jet skiing from the family home on Oneida Lake, all with his siblings, and Soni by his side. Whether it is taking care of the vegetable garden, start to finish, taking pride in the produce it provided for the family and neighbors, he loved to give and share his kindness. He also loved trap shooting, volunteering at South Shore Association of Oneida Lake, the annual Long Lake camping trip with family, and trap shooting events. His life always revolved around the family, who truly know how much he loved them. Family events, big and small always ended with smiles, hugs and “I Love You’s”.
As Jacob’s mom, my heart is forever broken that we have lost him. I know his siblings and father feel the same. Jake will live within all of us forever, family, friends, and everyone he ever spoke to. Without him, and his wisdom, we are left to always wonder what he would think; how we continue our lives without him being physically present. We all love you, Jacob, and always will.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Paula (Austin) Kubacki; uncle, Paul Kubacki; and grandfather, Donald Steinbach.
Forever grieving his passing; his love of 10 years Sondra “Soni” Ritzel, and her father, Harry Ritzel; his parents, Raymond and Suzanne (Reck) Kubacki; his siblings, Alexander (April) Kubacki, Heather (Andrew Houghtaling) Kubacki and their son, Oliver Paul, Julia (Tyler Scarano) and their daughter, Riley Maeve; grandmother, Marsha Hoefler; grandfather, Paul Reck; aunt, Tammy (Reck) Kendrick; aunt, Mary (Kubacki) Simmons; uncle and Godfather Theodore Kubacki (Marcia Luce); great aunt and Godmother, Linda (Hoefler) Kisselstein; great aunt Karen (Hoefler) Cummings, great uncle Arthur (Dabney) Hoefler; great uncle, Keith (Dena) Hoefler; great aunt, Luella (Steinbach) Bulawa; great uncle, Ronald (Diane) Steinbach); first cousins, Michelle (Lloyd) Villas, Sandra Kubacki, Ted (Becky) Kubacki, Elizabeth (Dakota) Congden, Christopher Kendrick, and Brigid Cotterill. Jake also leaves behind many second cousins and countless loyal friends.
Family and friends may call on Friday, June 20, 2025 5 PM to 7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse, NY
