With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and friend, Jacqueline Alfano, who left us on July 18, 2025, at the age of 86.
Jackie, as she was known to all, was born on August 27, 1938 in New York City to the late Adolph and Elizabeth Anderson. Jackie married the love of her life, Frank Alfano (who predeceased her on April 1, 2020 ) in 1958. Together, they built a life full of joy, connection, laughter and deep devotion to their family. She was a proud and loving mother to her two children, Catherine Pippa (husband Greg Pippa) and Frank Alfano, whom she championed fiercely and loved unconditionally. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother to her granddaughter Victoria.
Jackie had a way of lighting up a room. She was gregarious, kind, and never missed a chance to gather with her friends-whether it was over drink, a shared meal, or just good conversation. She had a gift for making people feel seen and supported, and her energy was contagious. Jackie was a member of the Wappingers Elks, enjoyed going on cruises with her friends, and loved taking chances at her favorite casinos. A tireless advocate, especially for her son and others who needed a voice, Jackie never backed down from standing up for what mattered. She leaves behind countless memories, stories, and the imprint of a life lived with compassion, humor, and heart.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Taconic at Beacon and the ICU staff at MidHudson Regional Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Wreaths Across America or Dutchess County ASPCA.
In honoring Jackie's wishes, services will remain private at this time.
